Instagram data deletion
You can disconnect Linkroom from Instagram at any time and ask us to delete information associated with a connected professional account.
Disconnect Instagram
- Open Instagram and go to Settings and activity.
- Open Website permissions, then Apps and websites.
- Find Linkroom and remove its access.
Menu names may vary as Instagram updates its applications. Removing access stops Linkroom from making new Instagram API requests for that account, but it does not automatically erase information already stored by Linkroom.
Request deletion from Linkroom
Email privacy@zoomermedia.ca with the subject “Linkroom Instagram data deletion request.” Include only:
- The Instagram username connected to Linkroom.
- The Linkroom page or publication name, if known.
- An email address where we can confirm completion.
Do not send your Instagram password, access token or other login credentials. We may ask for limited additional information to verify that the requester is authorized to act for the account.
What we will delete
After verification, we will remove the connected Instagram account identifier, username, encrypted access token and cached Instagram feed data associated with the request. We will also remove copied Instagram media from Linkroom storage when it is not required for an active publication or campaign.
We may retain limited records where required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution or documented contest administration. Any retained information will remain protected and will not be used for another purpose.
Timing
We will acknowledge a verified request and complete deletion as soon as reasonably practicable, subject to applicable legal requirements and necessary backup-retention cycles. We will confirm when the request is complete or explain any information that must be retained.
